Lead Engineer Infrastructure (f/m/d)
Be accountable for physical and virtual Datacenter Infrastructure Components as well as Operating System layers and responsible for ensuring the stable operation of the infrastructure in-line with committed SLAs. To be the Technical Authority within our delivery organization for the specific technical domain. To support other NTT delivery teams, (in-country, regionally and globally) operationally on an ad-hoc basis, through updates and regular knowledge sharing sessions. To participate in and lead technical aspects of projects relating to the infrastructure. This may involve elements of design, implementation or upgrading. To act as a point of escalation and interface with relevant vendors to resolve critical Incidents and Problems within the infrastructure. Participate in a third-tier technical capacity in Incidents and change requests. To take the lead and ownership with regards to the problem, capacity and release management processes for the specific technical domain. Collaborate with and support the wider business unit, work with functions such as commercial, new business or service delivery management. Attend client meetings, both remote and in-person to provide technical insight. Work with the Design Authority to provide operational feedback and advice that will both feed into the future improvement roadmap and allow for design changes and improvements. Participate in and/or lead customer technical workshops and discussions. The role at times requires working outside of business hours to resolve urgent issues.
A thorough understanding of modern DataCenter hardware and environments is essential. Hands on experience building, upgrading and managing Cisco UCS Compute and Networking hardware is desirable. Experience working with virtualization software is essential. Ideally VMWare ESX 6.x, but also other virtualization software (Zen, OVM etc.). Cisco accreditation such as the CCNP Data Center certification would be advantageous. Extensive experience building, operating and supporting Linux based systems is essential (e.g.: SuSE, Red Hat, Oracle Linux etc.). In-depth experience working with Microsoft Windows Server based environments is essential. Experience with large enterprise Windows based Active Directory environments is desirable. A solid understanding and experience working with client-side networking and networking protocols (IP, DHCP, DNS, BootP etc.) is essential. A solid understanding and experience working with enterprise grade storage solutions. Netapp Certification (NCIE SAN/DP) and experience working with NetApp MetroCluster would be advantageous. Experience working with enterprise grade backup and/or disaster recovery software (CommVault, SnapCenter, Rubrik) is essential. Strong knowledge of and experience working with public or private cloud platforms (NTT, Amazon, Microsoft etc.).
